What we collect

Solve My Seating Chart has no accounts and no login. We do not ask you to register, and we do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal details about you.

The site is a static web page plus a seating solver that runs inside your own browser. There is no server-side database of user content.

Student roster data

Student names, room layouts, and behavior rules you type into the tool are processed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded, stored, or transmitted to any server, and nothing persists between visits — closing or reloading the page clears everything.

Even so, please avoid entering sensitive information. Use first names or initials rather than full names, ID numbers, or anything about a student's health, discipline record, or protected status.

Cookies and advertising

This site is free and is supported by display ads. Third-party ad partners may set cookies or similar technologies on your device to serve and measure ads. These cookies are controlled by those partners, not by us, and they never have access to your roster because your roster never leaves your browser.

You can accept or decline advertising cookies with the consent banner shown on your first visit, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Analytics

We currently use no analytics services. There is no visitor tracking, heatmapping, or usage measurement running on this site. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for teachers and other adults, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because student information stays in the teacher's browser and is never sent to us, we never receive or retain data about students.

If we change how this site works — for example by adding analytics or a new ad partner — we will update this page and revise the date below.
